BlackBerry Torch 9860 dummy units start arriving at Rogers and Telus outlets
We got word yesterday via MobileSyrup that dummy units of the new 9860 have started to arrive at Rogers and Telus stores, signalling an imminent launch of yet another blackBerry 7 model here in the Great White North. While the US continues to lag behind on carrier launches of these devices, Canadian carriers seem to be pumping them out fast and furious. Telus is rumored to be launching this device on the 29th of this month, with Rogers still yet to make an announcement, but we can assume that they will not be far behind. Rumored pricing is sitting at $524.99 retail, with a three-year contract tag of $199.99. While the Storm series did turn me off all-touch BlackBerry devices a bit, I for one would seriously consider giving this a go, as would many touch fans I’m sure.
