Rogers already drops 3-year price of Bold 9900; customers line-up their pitchforks

Someone in the Rogers hardware pricing department could easily be the most hated man in Canada right now, and frankly, he deserves it. Not even 48 hours after sorta-officially launching the device at $249.99 on a 3-year voice and data, Rogers has now dropped the termed pricing of the famed flagship by $50 to $199.99 in time for the launch weekend. For a company that consistently cries wolf about the costs associated with high call center usage, they really aren’t doing the right thing to get empathy from their loyal customer base, knowing full well this weekend will be full of calls demanding credits. Regardless, it’s done, and hopefully Rogers will do the smart thing and extend said bill credits to those who eagerly jumped on board for the initial launch pricing.
