With the recent launch of BBM6 and in-app social networking, it was only a matter of time before the insurgence of in-BBM playable games launched. So far I have had the chance to play a few games - including Kisai labs version of Connect 4 - and can honestly say they’re pretty awesome.

Yesterday word got out that Magmic (the company notorious for their BlackBerry themes, wallpapers, and other very popular games) had entered the world of BBM games - launching the classic Backgammon King as their first “Super App”, featuring the following enhanced capabilities: If a contact already has BGK installed, players can invite them for a head-to-head game through the integrated BBM-enabled chat; contacts who don’t have Backgammon King installed can be invited through BBM to download the game; players can choose to share Backgammon King status updates with their BBM contacts; in-game chats run completely through BBM.

Magmic also made mention that their very popular Texas Hold’em King 2 is the next game to be made BBM-compatible, stay tuned.
