RIM Officially Releases BlackBerry Messenger 6.0 into App World

BlackBerry fan-people, this week keeps getting better and better for you. First we had the big Facebook 2.0 update hit App World, now this, BlackBerry Messenger 6.0 (or BBM for short) has left beta and gracefully landed in App World for your updating enjoyment. While you may be saying to yourself “I hate updating software on my BlackBerry, something alwayysss goes wrong!”, well my friends, this update brings a chalk load of new features worthy of that update, including: usability of BBM-connected apps (i.e. Foursquare), BBM-connected games, or even share restaurant suggestions - but the best part? All updates show up in your BBM status! It’s actually really fun and interactive when you see a friends winning mayorships and/or games without needing to leave the app.
Sold? You should be. If you haven’t done so already, you can grab BBM 6 for free via App World here and once downloaded and updated, you can grab your BBM-enabled apps here
