Despite being an AWS carrier, T-Mobile is no stranger to having AT&T users (or other various 3G roamers) hop aboard their network for reliable EDGE (2G) browsing when AT&T’s 3G HSPA network is just too congested to work. (Think New York City, Los Angeles, and any other high traffic cities). Just last month - despite not being able to release one of their own - T-Mobile reported having over 1 million active iPhone handsets on their network. With all this being said it, seems like a no-brainer that T-Mobile has finally begun selling their own micro-SIM cards for $9.99 in-store or free online (will only work for iPhone 4 and 3G iPad’s) to cash in on this growing trend, as well as get a head start on preparing for the iPhone 5 launch this fall, when the iPhone 5 officially gets released for AWS customers.
