RIM pulls buggy PlayBook update, promises fix “later this week”
It’s not been a very good day for RIM. Not long after it enthusiastically announced the release of BlackBerry Tablet OS v1.0.7, news broke that RIM was forced to pull the update after a series of user complaints. To its credit, RIM was quick to respond to calls for comments, and had this to say on its BlackBerry Blog:
“Some users who downloaded BlackBerry Tablet OS 1.0.7 today were experiencing an issue with their BlackBerry Bridge app. RIM expects to release an update to BlackBerry Tablet OS 1.0.7 later this week that will resolve this issue. We apologize for any inconvenience.”
