RIM developing a competitor for Apple TV?

Ok BlackBerry fan-boys, here is a juicy lil’ non-smartphone rumor for you all to talk about at the water cooler tomorrow: RIM is supposedly developing an Apple TV competitor, currently under the code named “Cyclone”, which is scheduled to launch this coming Fall. The rumored media hub is said to be similar to Apple’s iOS-based Apple TV box, which connects to a television and plays streaming video content from iTunes. Supposedly the Cyclone will also have the capabilities to stream Netflix and YouTube from media devices connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
I think this is a cool idea in itself, but again sways RIM from the bigger issue at hand: developing their devices. More to come on this one.
