Rubinstein out, DeWitt in as head of webOS

There is some pretty big news to report in the world of webOS, as today HP announced a significant leadership shake-up. Stephen DeWitt has been named the new senior VP and GM of its webOS global business unit, while Jon Rubinstein, who previously held the position, has been relegated to the role of senior VP for Product Innovation in its Personal Systems Group. Rubinstein, the ex-CEO of Palm, has often received criticism for his management abilities, so hopefully the new role will allow him to focus without distraction on what he does best — software and product design.
