It’s a tad early for the back to school rush, but that didn’t stop AT&T from announcing that it is now taking pre-orders for the HTC Status. Powered by Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread, the Status’ key selling point is its special version of HTC Sense that features heavy Facebook integration. Specs include a 2.6″ HVGA touchscreen display, full-QWERTY keypad, 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, and a unibody design. The HTC Status will officially go on sale July 17th for $49.99 on a 2-year contract.
