Late on Sunday evening, HTC took to its Facebook page to provide a status update on its plans to provide unlocked bootloaders for several of its popular Android smartphones. This coming August, software updates designed to facilitate bootloader unlocks will begin rolling out for the global variant of the Sensation, T-Mobile’s Sensation 4G, and Sprint’s HTC EVO 3D. The updates will be followed by the actual unlock in September. HTC has promised it will provide more information about bootloader unlocking for the aforementioned devices — as well as others — in the near future.
