Fido is really pushing their green thumb; having already solidified themselves as Canada’s “Green Carrier” by launching an assortment of recycled phones (Motorola Renew) and creating several programs that give back to the environment (planting trees, recycling old cellphones etc), they are now going one step further in a positive direction. Say hello to the “Share your Care” campaign - co-created with Evergreen - which will see 20 green Canadian projects each receive a base of $2,500 (totals $50,000). But it gets even better - as another 50k will be distributed to the 3 most popular projects as voted by you, the readers. Some of the 20 projects include “Promote wildlife education”, “Million Tree Challenge” and “Educate on water resources”.

Kudos to Fido on this one. It takes one carrier’s initiatives to spark change amongst them all; I am glad Fido lead the pack with this.
