The Samsung Galaxy S II clearly isn’t a Bell exclusive, as both Virgin Mobile and SaskTel announced this morning they too would be carrying the critically acclaimed Android-powered smartphone in the coming weeks. While the exact dates of availability remain to be seen, we’re thankful that one carrier has stepped up and announced how much Canadians will be expected to fork over, as SaskTel has confirmed it will offer the Gingerbread goodness for $79.99 on a 3-year contract. To recap its specs, the Galaxy S II features a 4.3″ WVGA Super AMOLED Plus display, 8 megapixel camera with 1080p video capture and LED flash, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, HSPA+ download speeds of up to 21Mbps, and Samsung’s custom UI overlay, TouchWiz 4.0.

Fido and Rogers are leally lagging behind, once again. Plus, Videotron is stuck with T-Mobile phones only, so might as well forget about them even existing…
