While speaking to Bloomberg, HP CEO Leo Apotheker said Tuesday that his company is currently in talks with OEMs about the possibility of licensing the use of its webOS mobile operating system. Although Apotheker would not divulge which companies HP has spoken with, adding that “there is no time pressure to do this,” Bloomberg cites three sources who claim Samsung is one of the companies involved. Samsung responded to requests for comments by reaffirming its commitment to Google’s Android, a move that’s hardly surprising considering no deal with HP has been inked.
