It wasn’t even close to being a well-guarded secret, but at least it’s now officially official, as today Bell announced it will soon carry the Samsung Galaxy S II 4G. Key features of the Android 2.3 “Gingerbread” smartphone include a 4.3″ Super AMOLED Plus display, 8 megapixel camera with 1080p video capture, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, and Samsung’s custom TouchWiz 4.0 UI overlay. The Galaxy S II 4G is also equipped with a 21Mbps HSPA+ radio that will be able to stretch its legs on Bell’s speedy HSPA+ Faux G “4G” network, something we imagine would pair very nicely with Bell Mobile TV, especially considering the device’s great display. We’d love to be able to report on a price and a release date for what is easily one of the greatest Android smartphones produced, but that information is under wraps for the time being.
