T-Mobile announces the myTouch 4G Slide

Shortly after tweeting that “big news” was on the way, T-Mobile today announced the launch of the myTouch 4G Slide. Designed and manufactured by HTC, the Android 2.3 “Gingerbread” device is claimed to sport the most advanced camera found on a smartphone. Featuring a backlit 8 megapixel camera with dual-LED flashes and 1080p video capture, the device boasts an assortment of software features such as SweepShot for instant panoramas, ClearShot HDR for life-like photos in high-contrast settings, BurstShot for quickly taking multiple photos, zero shutter lag, and one-touch photo uploading to services such as Facebook, Flickr, and Picasa. Other specifications for the myTouch 4G Slide are a little sparse at this time, but we do know we’re looking at a 3.7″ WVGA Super LCD display, 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, sliding QWERTY keypad, and HTC Sense 3.0. The myTouch 4G Slide will be available from T-Mobile this July for as little as $199.99 on contract.
