Apple releases iOS 5 beta 2

Never ones to squander an opportunity for suspense, Apple today departed from its tradition to seed a slew of new beta software related iOS 5. Available only to registered developers, iOS 5 beta 2 for iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch requires that users be running at least OS X 10.6.8 along with iTunes 10.5 beta 2, also released today.
We’re still digging through the change logs to find out what’s new, but so far it looks like the biggest news here is that Wi-Fi syncing with iTunes has been enabled.
Also released today were Xcode 4.2 and iOS 5 SDK beta 2 for both Snow Leopard and Lion, as well as a second iOS 5-compatible beta for Apple’s second-generation Apple TV.
