Rogers feels your pain, introduces new US roaming text plans

Other than voice and data usage, one of the biggest fears with travelling across the border are those pesky text messaging charges. They seem cheap and all, but at upwards of $.25 per sent message, they are easy to lose track of causing the charges to creep up on you like a bad flu. Well never fear, Rogers has come to the rescue with a few new text packages that are sure to make your next trip down south more enjoyable; the details are as follows:
For $10 you can get unlimited SMS in the US for a full day (expires at 11:59PM EST day of purchase) or if you’re travelling longer, you can get the $50 unlimited SMS in the US which automatically expires a month after purchase.
Though a bit pricey, these plans offer a sense of consistency and allow one to anticipate the end of month charges, rather than get a scary wake-up call, followed by an afternoon on hold with customer service.
