TELUS and Skype sign agreement; set to launch first Skype edition phone

Whoa whoa, Telus, good on ya folks, you’re learning.
Telus has just announced via press release that they will not only be going into an agreement with Skype, allowing customers to purchase Skype credit through their existing accounts and have the charges appear directly on their wireless bill, but also launching the Skype edition LG Optimus Black, the first Skype edition smartphone in the Canadian market. The device will come pre-loaded with Skype which will allow users to download “Skype Mobile” for free via the Android Market. Telus also stated that a bonus of 60 minutes of international calling credits will be included with every device.
I think this is huge for both the business and consumer market, let’s see how/if the other carriers respond.
