Cupertino Mayor Gives Words of Support for Apple’s New Building Plans

Last November, Apple purchased HP’s former campus and recently Steve Jobs presented his plans for the plot of land – and it looks like a large ring or a building, almost like the pentagon that many are describing as a “mothership.”

Besides the unique shape of the building, there is an emphasis on developing it as a green space.
No stranger to hyperbole, Steve Jobs said, “I think we do have a shot at building the best office building in the world. I really do think architecture students will come here to see this.”
The plans are the break ground in 2012 and to officially open it in 2015.
Well, the mayor of Cupertino has given them words of support – in response to the proposition, Mayor Gilbert Wong said “There is no chance that we’re saying no.”
