Blaq for PlayBook gets App World nod; now live!

When the PlayBook launched just over a month ago consumers were shocked to find that two popular applications - Twitter and facebook - were not available for download. They were there, but only as on screen links to web apps. Needless to say, it isn’t easy to get people on board with your product when two of the most used social media platforms both aren’t available in app form.
Well, all that is about to change. Blaq - better known online for its very popular BlackBerry OS Twitter client - has finally gotten the nod from RIM to go live in App World, this time around as a PlayBook application. I have been using Blaq in closed beta since attending BlackBerry World 2011 and can honestly admit, it’s fire. It’s clean, smooth, stable, gets updated often, and most of all, is very easy on the eyes.
Congratulations to Ryan Hamrick, Jerome Carty and the rest of the Blaq team for a job well done.
Make sure to follow @blaq for all information about the app including news and updates and and pick it up via App World for $1.99 here
