HTC to Launch a 12MP Windows Phone?

Despite having a flailing OS (Symbian), one thing Nokia has developed a solid reputation for are the superb camera’s installed in their devices; whether high-end or low-end, the resolution generally starts at 5MP on newer devices (C6) and goes up to 12MP (N8). This benchmark has also set Nokia ahead, because no other manufacturer to date has released a phone with a higher camera resolution on a mobile phone — till now.
The image you are looking at above is of a currently unreleased HTC Windows Phone 7 phone; slated to have a 12MP camera that can shoot RAW images. Historically, HTC has never been known to equip its smartphones with good image sensors and word has it the quality of images taken with the forthcoming device are “not bad at all,”; then again, it is a pre-release, so hopefully the bugs will be worked out before retail launch.
