Seems as though Sony Ericsson is really on their game — no pun intended — with these two devices. Reports today confirm that the Play will be receiving an update as early as next week to Android 2.3.4, meaning that the arc will probably get the same update as well. And assuming all goes well, the devices will be the first non-Nexus devices (Google phones) to receive the update.

Even more? The update will bring Sony Ericsson’s “Facebook inside Xperia” update, which promises an even deeper phone/facebook integration (including contacts, calendar and even music). Word has this new integration coming to all forthcoming Xperia devices released over the next year.
