The ink is barely dry on my last post in regard to both the announcements of the new LG Optimus 2X and the new Optimus Pad, and we just stumbled on another key little piece of information. Remember in the last post how I pointed out that one of the Optimus 2X’s had a T-Mobile logo at the top, hinting at the possibility of an AWS version hitting Canadian soil as well? Well, coincidently while playing with one of the devices we did a factory reset and the above is what reloaded as the default wallpaper: official Vidéotron branding — interesting. Even more interesting: it also boots with Vidéotron branding as well. This is further evidence that the device may indeed launch with Mobilicity and/or WIND as well.

No matter how you put it or who it launches with, the device is sexy and a very welcomed addition to which ever carrier lineup — other than Vidéotron — on which it lands. More to come.
