LiveProfile has been very busy updating their app continually over the past few weeks and it seems a trend of constant improvement for the app is developing.

I saw a tweet had gone out from the LiveProfile account announcing v1.0.13′s release. I opened the app to do the update and got the pop-up below urging me to update to v1.0.14!

OK, I missed out on v1.0.13 but if they were already offering v1.0.14 it must be better. So I clicked “Yes” and got this screen.

What? v1.0.15 now? OK…3 is a lot of updates to be releasing for an app in only one day but who am I to complain?

According to the blog post about the release of v1.0.13 that release makes the BlackBerry app “much more stable and almost caught up to the Android and iPhone versions.” There is a whole boatload of updates listed for this new version of the app which you can check out below. LiveProfile also says that they will be releasing new features across all platforms this month and that we should keep our eyes open as this month will be big!

Changes/Improvements:

- Improved connectivity and much faster reconnect

- Dramatically improved battery usage - no more drain

- Improved chat page with emoticon icon moved back to the right

- Improved compression for chat communications and file transfers

- Fixed bug on display of friend lists

- Faster loading of friend lists

- Ability to enlarge profile pictures

- Facebook support improved on devices 5.0+ (4.5-4.7 not supported by Facebook SDK and beyond our control)

- Fixed profile pictures not displaying when viewing profiles

- Added send option to menu

- Fixed bug causing Me tab to not display properly

- Profile photo upload now working on Orange UK and other carriers

- Added sound profiles to settings screen

- Added option to disable messages displaying in messaging application

- Add friend input automatically selected when adding new friends
