Didn’t believe it? Well, folks, now you should.

During an investors conference call today, RIM’s Co-CEO Jim Balsillie was quoted saying: “we’re now calling BlackBerry 6.1 BlackBerry 7. It’s such a big update from 6.”

Not only does this confirm the rumors of yesterday, but also confirms what the buzz of BlackBerry World 2011 -starting this coming Monday in Orlando, Florida — will indefinitely be. I can’t wait to potentially see the new OS in action, considering I’ll be there, live blogging it — and don’t worry, i’ll be filling all of you in on my findings; so don’t forget to check-in regularly next week.
