Some Android Tablet News To Feed Your Appetite

HTC has corrected itself and has made it known that the “Flyer” tablet would support the Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system but would only be available a short time after the launch, which is scheduled for Q2 2011.
Lenovo’s “Think Slate” has been shown recently, but it seems that they’re also developing another Honeycomb tablet. The “Skylight” is to be 7 inches and the known specs can be found here. As of right now, the release date is unknown.
In other Android tablet news Micheal Dell, CEO of Dell Computers, has publicly expressed his belief that eventually Android tablets will surpass iPads.( ) This doesn’t seem unlikely, considering how quickly these phones became popular. Also, with the US army working with the Android operating system, it seems innovation will come more rapidly.
And, if that wasn’t enough to satisfy Android enthusiasts, Intel has stated they will be supporting the operating system in their dealings; as a result, the price of their stock has risen noticeably. What does this mean for the MeeGo operating system? News of its discontinuation haven’t hit new sources but it’s a clear possibility. With Intel’s support, it seems even more likely that progress will speed up for Android Tablets.
Last but not least, Amazon has updated their “Kindle” Application for Android tablets. Good news all around!
