Rogers waives activation fees on “Add a Device” data sharing

I don’t want to come off sounding unappreciative of the initiatives Rogers has been taking lately; but — with all due respect — they shouldn’t be charging an activation fee in the first place for the data sharing option, right? I mean, with the tablet war growing by the minute, and the big 3 essentially having the same offerings, a $35 activation fee credit should NOT be the only “sales closers” reps. can use in play. I could go on and on, but the post isn’t about my rants, I just empathize with the reps — I used to be one.
Anyways, the news is simple and to the point: between today and August 2nd activate a device on your existing account for data sharing — and based on region — receive a credit on your first bill to off-set the activation charge.
