For a company like RIM who prides itself on its proprietary security features, and has — in the past — notoriously cracked down on the unannounced device leaks; they are doing a horrible job at preventing these highly anticipated forthcoming devices from being known.

Over the past few months a flood of news pertaining to both the Bold Touch 9900 and Touch 9860 has come to light, but still not officially acknowledged by RIM (though, in RIM’s defense, BlackBerry World is right around the corner, which I will be attending live). Well, times they are a-changing and RIM knows it. With consumer/industry talks of Android’s Gingerbread/HoneyComb and Apple’s iOS growing relentlessly and their market share rapidly declining, any publicity around their products is good publicity; especially when their PlayBook tablet is finally coming out in just a matter of days.

Low and behold, the ever popular and heavily produced promo videos are finally here; say it with me now….yay! They prove once and for all, that these devices not only exist, but are a not-too-distant reality.

I think I can speak for ALL Bold 9000 fan-boys when I say the 9900 is just what the doctor ordered, and will be a VERY hot device. As for the Touch 9860, it’s what the Storm -you know that clicky thing — should have been and may just win back the Touch screen only customers who jumped ship eons ago.

What do you guys think? Excited? Or has your BlackBerry ship sailed? Let us know!
