WIND Announces “Internet On Sale” Free Data Stick With Unlimited Data Plan
WIND Mobile announced today that they have launched a new deal featuring their WINDspeed data sticks (the Huawei E1691). The deal they announced - which is on for a limited time - is that they are dropping the price of their unlimited mobile internet plan from $45 per month to $29 per month. Further, for anyone who comes in and prepays two months worth of service WIND is offerring to give the customer the WINDspeed data stick for free (it retails for $80 usually). The plan will also work with WIND’s “WINDspeed Pocket Hotspot” (the Huawei E583).
According to the press release Ken Campbell, CEO of WIND Mobile had this to say about the deal: “We want to liberate Canadians from the incumbent providers’ ‘death grip’ on the internet. Today, we are putting Internet access ‘on sale’ with a great plan and a great offer on the WINDspeed data stick. A data stick is the perfect solution for people who want to stay socially connected and don’t want to be confined to their home.” Campbell also went on to say he thought that, “[p]eople want unlimited Internet access from home or at their office, at their favorite coffee shop, from a patio or even at a park and all at a price point they can afford.”
Further, according to the press release if consumers want the ability to share their Internet connection with additional computers or mobile devices at home or the office WIND will soon be making it possible to do so (aside from using the WINDspeed Pocket Hotspot mentioned above). Soon WIND will be making available for purchase the WINDspeed Wi-Fi Dock, a device which they will be offering that can take a data stick’s mobile data connection and share the Internet access to over 20 devices. This is a difference from the WINDspeed Pocket Hotspot in that the Pocket Hotspot is limited to sharing the connection with 5 devices.

Corey, its a great offer but when you live north of 407 and none of their resellers offer the data sticks in their stores, then its a flop in my book. I know its available online but as an impulse purchase I had to go home 2 days in a row empty handed.

when i bought this stick i was told that it is unlimited for 29.95 for first year and 45.95 in the next year.i was o.k with this. but after 10 days speed was very slow even i could”t upload a single pic on face book.i contact to cus. service and they told me after use 5 gb speed will be slow down upto next recharge. so what is unlimited plan? its crap or u can say “bullshit” i through this data stick in toilet (not mine) never buy this product.
