I know I messed with you guys in the last post I made - which was the first one for April Fools’ Day 2011 - but I promise you this one is completely legitimate.

Last night after going out with a bunch of friends we decided to stop at a local Toronto restaurant and I, of course, checked-in on Foursquare from my BlackBerry Torch. When I checked in under “Your check-in score” I received this message (as seen above):

“No points for this check-in. Psych! April Fools! (+3)

Total 3 points”

The reason I took this picture of my screen with my friend’s iPhone 4 is because the screen capture app I have on my BlackBerry doesn’t, as far as I know, allow me to take screen shots from within the Foursquare for BlackBerry app for some reason. I have yet to figure out why this is the case.

I also, after doing a quick google, found out that some other people - the first one who must be in Europe somewhere because at 5am Toronto time it says the photo was posted 8 hours ago - also got the same points and they posted a screenshot on Flickr - check them out below and I included the links at the bottom.

Either way, when you check-in today (looks like it only happens for your first check-in of the day) you will receive the same special points for the check-in and the same message. Let me know if you do or don’t because as far as I can see you should.
