Remember in mid-January I told you about and reviewed a new service called Tigits which assigns people temporary numbers they can use and dispose of at will?

When I originally wrote about them I mentioned to you that, “currently text message receiving and sending is unavailable via a Tigits line but it is planned to be released soon.” Since then I have not heard anything about that part of the service being launched and so haven’t said anything about it but tonight I saw something to get the rumor mill stirring.

About an hour ago, the person behind the official Tigits Twitter account tweeted to a @MrBaller “rolling out Tigits texting soon!”

This came as a reply to his tweet “I’ll try out @tigits once they have the sms feature. I don’t really make phone calls anyway.”

After seeing this I tweeted at the Tigits account asking for an ETA of texting trying to get more info for you guys out there but alas I got no reply (as of yet!).
