If you are one of those people constantly scouring the App Store for a new game to play, I’m fairly positive you recognize the picture above.

Aptly titled “Doodle Jump” the point of the game is simple, yet very, very addictive: get your lil’ martian dude — who is perpetually jumping — as high up as you can, using bricks, springs, rockets etc. to speed up the process, all while avoiding the spaceships, monsters and holes in the wall out to destroy you — easy enough, right?

This game has been an App Store top seller for eons, is uber-cute, and really one of the only games that can give Angry Birds a run for its money (and my time).

Yesterday, Lima Sky (the brains behind the game) pushed out an update which adds multi-player action to the mix, but with a twist: the point of the mult-player is speed, not height; connect with your friends, fight your way up the screen, collecting points, avoiding monsters etc. in the most time efficient way possible.

So, if you haven’t ‘hopped’ the bandwagon yet, you can pickup multi-player Doodle Jump here and get to jumpin’. No word yet though on the multi-player update for you Android folk, sorry.
