WIND Donates $100,000 To 6 Canadian Charities

Yesterday, WIND Mobile announced the results at the end of the Charity Challenge; a portion of the Best Conversation Contest mentioned previously here and here.
The six winners of the money included “Engineers without Borders Canada” in the top spot with more than 13,000 votes. “Engineers without Borders Canada” are an organization who help to improve living conditions and provide clean water to communities in Africa. Their 13,000 votes was enough to earn them a $50,000 donation from WIND Mobile.
The race for the other five runner-up charities who received $10,000 donations was very competitive. The competition involved both national and local charities each working hard to rally their supporters and maintain a spot in the runner-up category. Six weeks later, and at the end of the competition, the following charities each received $10,000:
- Rabbit Rescue Incorporated
- St. Alban’s Boys’ and Girls’ Club
- World University Service
- Windsor/Essex County Humane Society
- Oxfam Canada
