Just saw this from the folks over at BerryReview (link to their article below). Someone in their forums mentioned a FREE BlackBerry app from the iBNuX Net team called Nux Shoot.

What the app does is adds 2 items to your menu: “Timer 10 second” and “ Timer 5 second”. Once you click the menu option your BlackBerry begins to beep as it counts down until it takes the picture. When I clicked the “Timer 5 second” option I heard 4 beeps then watched the focus indicator go green as the app auto-focused the camera, then it took the picture - simple and efficient. The app weighs in at a svelte 3kb so you don’t have to worry about hopping on that Wi-Fi connection before you download it!

Ronen over at BerryReview said he couldn’t wrap his head around how exactly one would use Nux Shoot and I have the answer: On numerous occasions I have handed my Torch to people and asked them to take a picture, they almost always look at me and say “OK, how?”. With this app I can set a 10 second timer and then turn it on and hand it to them and they just have to hold it for 10 seconds - done & done.

Now all I need for my BlackBerry Camera is an app (or so it will work with Nux Shoot, an addition to that app) that will let me take multiple shots in a row - a burst mode. This means that even if we arent fully ready for Nux Shoot to take a picture after 10 seconds it will still take 2 or 3 more subsequent photos within a couple of seconds and one of them is bound to be good.

Nux Shoot is available on all devices running OS 4.5.0 or higher, in all countries, and on all carriers. Scan the QR code or click the link to be taken to App World to download this app.

Hey, that’s a pretty nifty app for your BlackBerry! Really, there’s a lot of cool stuff to put in your gallery, lots of software you could use for work, or for your own amusement. Definitely a useful gadget for any situation.
