WIND Mobile Announces Nokia C7, Silver LG dLite, & ‘March Into WIND’ Sale; Talks Nexus S Release

WIND Mobile has just made a few big announcements today for the coming weekend.
In handset news, the Nokia phone pictured above, the C7, will be available Friday, March 18 exclusively to WIND. The C7 runs Symbian^3 OS for Nokia and features an 8 MP camera with 720p HD video recording capability, a built-in MP3/video player, an FM radio, GPS, 1200 mAh battery, and 8 GB of internal memory expandable up to either 16 GB or 32 GB (the WIND site says both) with a MicroSD card.
Also launching this week is the silver edition of the LG dLite. The LG dLite is a flip phone with a customizable LED screen, music player, and more. The picture I obtained of this new incarnation of the device was from GSMArena and they dubbed it as a gray version. The T-Mobile USA site which had pictures of it also dubbed it gray so this upcoming silver edition from WIND very possibly could look different than pictured here.
According to the information we have, “[t]he next few days will be [WIND’s] busiest ever for new device launches, and there’s even more to come later this Spring, so stay tuned for good news about one of the phones you ask about most often…” As well, “[i]n the coming weeks, WIND will introduce more new devices to its line-up. Rumor has it the Nexus S could be next.” Sounds like we are going to be seeing the NEXUS S coming to WIND Mobile sooner rather than later!
Finally, in pricing news, WIND announced that starting this weekend they will be holding what they are saying is their “Biggest Mobile Handset Sale Ever”. The sale is called the “March Into WIND” and will include 8 handsets from WIND’s lineup with prices beginning at $29.
Prices for this sale include:
- Huawei U1250 for $29 (half its usual price)
- Samsung Gravity 2 for $68
- Nokia 5230 for $88
- Motorola XT720 $360
