HP TouchPad rear-camera to have augmented reality capabilities? [Video]

Last month HP held a press conference, which they used to announce forthcoming devices expected to launch by the end of the year. Of those devices — but not limited to just this — was the HP TouchPad; the first tablet to run the under-appreciated webOS and HP’s highly anticipated response to the ever-heated tablet war since acquiring Palm and webOS last year.
Despite highlighting all its great attributes, one thing HP pointed out was that the device actually doesn’t have a camera at the back, in fact it has just one camera up-front with a meager 1.3MP picture taking resolution. Well, this didn’t stop them from still showing a fake device at the HP Summit 2011 event yesterday, which demonstrated the non-existent augmented reality features of its non-existent rear camera — hilarious.
Watch the video that was presented yesterday and see for yourself:
I really hope someone caught some slack for this one, despite the wishful thinking and amazing father/son bonding sequence.
