Swype for Android updated

From the moment I was introduced to the Swype keyboard, I knew it was love at first site.
Yes, I will admit, it is a bit overwhelming to get used to typing without actually taking your finger off the screen, but once you do, you will wonder how you survived without it — seriously.
Back in the early days Swype wasn’t available for all — actually on the contrary most people had a hacked version of the APK running — until finally, Swype caved and (with registration) opened their popular keyboard mod to everyone. If you were one of the lucky ones to sign up for it, guess what, a juicy update awaits, packed with the following features:
- Support for devices with QVGA, WQVGA, WSVGA and qHD resolution displays (along with the HVGA, WVGA, and FWVGA support it touted before)
- The “Hidden Word Tip Window” (which used to pop up just about every time Swype uses a word that it learned manually instead of using the word it would have otherwise used) will now only pop up once after install.
- Prediction accuracy will no longer drop over time
- You can now generate a new license during the install process, which should fix the early expiration issues some were having.
Swype is generally good with updating their app every 4 months, so don’t expect anything huge. Oh yah, one more thing — don’t forget to set a reminder for the next update, once you go Swype, going back to standard typing doesn’t even seem fathomable.
If you weren’t able to get in on the beta program click here they have since opened it up for more registrants.
