Review: SuperTooth Bluetooth Visor Buddy

Remember when I told you I had a problem with remembering things? I know it seems like I keep reiterating the same babble, but it was a big thing for me to admit. Coincidently, the accessories I have been reviewing lately fall into the category of ”must-haves” for those of you who are forgetful as well, so I promise to stop talking about it after this post (that’s a lie).
Anyway, back on topic. A few weeks ago our friend Daniel Bader did a quick overview of the Disco A2DP BlueTooth speaker (a product we can’t stop raving about) and today we are following that post up with a brief review of its sister in production, the Visor Buddy, easily one of the best portable car speakers I have ever used.
You see, the phone accessory market is more saturated than the iPhone App Store for Twitter clients; everyone makes them, prices vary in range, and 9 out of 10 times if you haven’t heard of it, it probably stinks. So what makes SuperTooth any better than the other giants of the industry? Simply put: Call quality and battery life. I have used almost every brand of car speaker; testing them out vigorously against wind, connectivity, extensive use, etc. and always resorted back to a standard headset, simply because they failed one of the tests miserably. But not the SuperTooth; on the contrary I found myself developing quite a bond with the lil’ bugger. One charge let me forget about it for well over a week, I never lost a call getting in and out of the car, and the thing is so small, when I took it out of the car and carried it around, I easily forgot about it — kinda counter-productive in the best way possible, eh?
In my opinion, if you are a traveling car salesman or a person who is in their car +60% of the day, this is a must-have. However, if you are a social-only driver and tend to have friends/family in the car, I’d recommend getting a headset — you know for the privacy reasons and all.
