Kik let us know via Twitter that picture sharing is coming next week! There will be an update for iOS as well as Android. Sources have also told us that group messaging will be present in these updates as well! It’s great that some key features will be added to Kik’s very reliable cross platform messenger.

Unfortunately, development for the BlackBerry platform has been frozen since RIM revoked Kik Messenger Signing Keys and Push Access. There’s no telling how long the legal battle will take, but let’s hope it just gets squashed and Kik will be able to resume development for the BlackBerry platform - on a side note: Word has it that the much anticipated Windows Phone 7 version of Kik will be announced shortly after next weeks SXSW being held in Austin, TX.
