I’ll start this post by telling you something about me that many don’t know: I’m forgetful. Shocking I know, but something I need to live with. Why am I telling you this? Because, one of the worst parts of being forgetful are the costs associated with it; I go through more Bluetooth headsets than the average small Canadian hamlet and headsets aren’t cheap, well the good ones aren’t at least. Yes, time to time I get a free unit for review, but those get lost just as fast, causing me to go out and buy something new (I live a tough life, I know). Anyway, before I start rambling (and boy can I ramble) and lose your attention, I have something to say: If you find yourself associating with my forgetfulness this post is meant for you and it’s in your best interest to continue reading.

This past January, I had the privilege of attending CES2011 in Las Vegas, NV, and was introduced to a new brand of accessory that has made me feel better about my forgetfulness. The makers, ID8, call the brand of accessory MoGo. ID8 are known for making ridiculously thin Bluetooth accessories, but most notably for their MoGo Talk XD line of cases, specifically for the iPhone 3G/3GS/4 — a first of its kind iPhone case, that has an extremely thin and comfortable Bluetooth headset built right into it, reducing the chances of misplacement! I have been using the system off and on for well over a month now and have developed quite the attachment to it. It’s uber easy to connect and use, battery life is a solid 3.5-4 hours, and it pairs with up to 5 devices (when just one phone isn’t enough, you know who you are). Not to mention the case isn’t too bulky for pocket storage — you know homie don’t play that.

As you can hopefully tell, I’m sold on it. After being in the industry for as long as I have, I’ve practically seen it all and have found it hard to be impressed by accessories that come out; solely based on the lack of creativity being put into them. With the MoGo Talk XD, ID8 saw an opportunity that didn’t pre-exist and capitalized on it and I commend them on that.

Despite being unavailable right now for purchase, you can check out ID8′s full product line here to learn more about who they are and what they do.
