Mobilicity Puts Items From Marketing Campaign On eBay, Proceeds Benefiting S’Cool Life Fund Charity

On February 14th Mobilicity released a music video on YouTube as part of a guerrilla marketing campaign lamenting the treatment that Canadians receive from other Canadian cellular service providers. The guerrilla marketing campaign was to promote the Mobilicity $69 Unlimited Couples plan. The campaign also included the wearing of vests that had messages complimentary to Mobilicity and others with a message quite disparaging towards Rogers, Bell, and Telus represented by the portmanteau “Robelus Mobile” on the streets of Edmonton, Toronto, Vancouver, and Ottawa.
Well, today, Mobilicity has decided to put up one of each of the vests for auction and says in their Press Release “[a]ll proceeds will benefit S’Cool Life Fund.”
Along with the auctioned off vest, each winning bidder will receive a hat and commemorative condom from the campaign.
The bidding started at $0.69 but, as you can see in the links and screenshots (you can click them for full sized versions), has already climbed to $15.50 for the Mobilicity vest and $51.00 for the Robelus Mobile vest.
Both of the vests are pre-worn and the auction on the Mobilicity vest ends March 2, 2025 5:11 pm EST and the Robelus Mobile vest ends March 2, 2025 at 5:23 pm EST.
