Motorola XOOM Tablet Being Released On Verizon Wireless This Thurs., Feb. 24th

You may remember the talk about the Motorola XOOM tablet from CES and from CellGuru’s post about the release of the specs for the WiFi only & GSM versions of the XOOM. Well today, Motorola Mobility sent us an announcement you will all want to know about: The Motorola XOOM Tablet will be available on Verizon Wireless (in the USA) at the end of this week on Thursday, February 24th!
According to the Press Release issued by Motorola Mobility the Motorola XOOM will be available from “Verizon Wireless for $599.99 with a new two-year customer agreement.” If you want to buy the XOOM outright it will cost “$799.99 without a contract”. 3G Data service for the XOOM on Verizon’s network “will begin at $20 monthly access for 1GB“. Later in the year, during the 2nd Quarter of 2011 “[t]he Motorola XOOM will be upgradeable to 4G LTE service at no additional charge“.
