As usual with updates to Google Maps and most of their other apps for BlackBerry, Google has silently updated their version of Google Maps for BlackBerry to version 4.5.2. The last update to the app was released in October 2010

Using a BlackBerry Torch with Google Maps v4.5.2 I noticed a faster launch of the app. Also with the Torch I am sorry to report that this new release does not bring pinch-zoom, something I’ve been hoping for on Google Maps since I got a Torch in October.
