Images and marketing information have leaked, revealing the 7″ HP “Opal” Tablet for a September, 2011 release in the United States and Canada.

It appears that the buttonless tablet will have a front-facing camera and an updated version of WebOS optimized for tablets.

The slide reveals that the shiny-backed block will will come to Bell and Rogers in Canada, and will compete, in September, with the likes of iPad 2, PlayBook, and Motorola Xoom (though it’s unknown whether the Xoom will come to Canada), and likely the updated Samsung Galaxy Tab line.

The tab certainly looks attractive, and Engadget has sourced an unknown 1.2Ghz processor in the device.

More to come at the February 9th event.

    That tablet looks very cool.

Everything I read seems to suggest that 2011 will be “the year of the tablet.”

It will be interesting to see the competition that the iPad gets over the next 12 months.
