Sprint Ads On Engadget Worth It When It’s Center Stage Along Verizon iPhone Story

The other day I saw an interesting story about the probably impending Verizon (CDMA) iPhone and the rumor of it being announced on Tuesday. When I went to Engadget’s site to read the story I noticed to my amusement a bit of luck that makes advertising on Engadget PRICELESS for Verizon competitor Sprint. They’re logo is not only at the top of the article’s headline but there is a gigantic ad for Sprint’s 4G network to the right of the article. Making the whole thing even more amusing is the fact that the Sprint ad is one for the Google Android OS - which is a major competitor to the Apple iPhone iOS.
I highly doubt this was done on purpose but nevertheless it is pretty funny that everyone interested in the iPhone on Verizon who goes to read this article is immediately inundated with ads for Verizon’s direct competitor - Sprint also has a CDMA network in the USA - and for a huge iPhone competitor, the Android OS.
