This Week In BlackBerry 1/03-1/09

Now it’s the last day of CES 2011 and RIM has been focusing all of their efforts on pushing the PlayBook, mainly because that’s the only truly exciting piece of hardware they seem to have on the horizon. While the UI, functions and features of the PlayBook seem to be coming along very nicely, it’s arguably far from complete. Is RIM going to stick to their Q1 PlayBook release? Lets keep our fingers crossed.
At this point, the 9780 is old news but we’ve heard nothing about an AT&T release. You would think there would be an announcement at CES if this was finally going to happen. We’ll have to see what the rest of the day brings. Is it possible RIM has decided not to release the Bold 9780 with the original BlackBerry Bold Carrier in the US? If that’s the case, lets hope there’s a new piece of Bold hardware coming along that RIM has managed to keep a secret.
