This series’ protection is achieved by encasing the device in a polycarbonate shell with a silicone overlay along with a built in screen protector. The case also includes a special sized belt clip. The Defender Series case for the Galaxy Tab also “includes a protective cover and display stand made of polycarbonate, making it easy to interact with the tablet while providing protection during transport.”
About the Commuter Series of device cases OtterBox says they are “designed with style in mind and [the case] protects smartphones from drop, shock and dust“. The additions to the series now available are for the Dell Venue Pro and HTC T-Mobile G2 which is also compatible with the HTC Desire Z. The cases in this series offers this protection with a “silicone wrap, polycarbonate outer shell and a self-adhesive screen guard” for your device.
The last case series which OtterBox introduced an addition for is the Impact Series. The series now includes an option for the Samsung Fascinate. This skin/case is a single silicone layer, custom molded to fit snuggly on the device with inner coring on the back and corners to dissipate shock and comes with a self-adhesive screen protector and a microfiber cleaning cloth.
