WIND Mobile Now Officially Offering $40 Unlimited Everything Plan, is a Holiday Miracle

It’s been in the “ether” for several weeks now, but WIND has made official their intention to match Mobilicity’s unlimited everything plan. WIND’s has a name, the Holiday Miracle Plan (along with a not-so-everything $25 Festive Cheer Plan) and it’s a doozy.
-Unlimited Canada Calling
-Unlimited US Long Distance
-Unlimited International Texting
-Unlimited MMS/CID/Call Waiting/Voicemail
-Unlimited BlackBerry/Smartphone data
Not only is this a fracking incredible deal, but it’s also compatible with their BOGO BlackBerry offer, and the WindTAB. The former is the purchase of a BlackBerry Bold 9700 and get a BlackBerry Pearl 9100 for free. The second is the now-familiar Tab system, where you buy the phone at a discount and pay off the a portion of the device every month. To cancel your no-contract plan is to merely pay off the balance of the phone and walk away, no penalty.
I have to say that, though Mobilicity has made some strides in improving their network recently, and are now live in four cities (Toronto, Edmonton, Ottawa and Vancouver) WIND is actually more pervasive in all the same cities, plus it adds Calgary to its mix.
No one, however, can argue that competition amongst frenemies is a bad thing, and WIND has certainly upped the ante.
The best deal seems to be the ability to sign up for the Holiday Miracle Plan, get the BOGO BlackBerry deal on the WindTab and walk out with two devices, one plan and $150 in savings for $250+tax (the 9700 is $250 on the Tab).
Check out the scoop over at WIND.
