Despite being discontinued by Bell a short while ago, Virgin users who signed up for the device will not be left in the cold for Android 2.2 (Froyo).

Virgin Mobile just posted on their Twitter handle:

“android update! we’ll be offering android 2.2 froyo update for htc legend in mid-january. stay tuned for details”

Good news for those of you who have stuck it out with the popular device.
