The news keeps coming from Mobilicity who are clearly making a big push this holiday season! You probably remember yesterday they announced they were teaming up with hmv Canada, well today Mobilicity announced a package deal they say is perfect for anyone who wants to give the gift of cellular service over the holidays.

This just announced deal is referred to as “UNLIMITED to GO” and it includes “a pre-packaged Mobilicity mobile phone with three months of service on Mobilicity’s reliable 3.5G unlimited network.” There are two phones available for this bundle, the Sony Ericsson TM506 in green or red (bundle cost $99.99) and the HTC Snap (bundle cost $129.99). The bundle’s included plan (which you get for 3 months as part of the package) is the Mobilicity plan which is regularly $35 per month and “includes unlimited local talk and text, unlimited province-wide long-distance calling, voicemail, caller ID, call waiting, call forwarding, 3-way calling in its unlimited calling areas across the country.”

According to Mobilicity’s VP of Marketing, Sara Moore, the bundle is a perfect gift because it gives them service and a phone without tying them down to a contract which can cost them a lot of money. She also went as far as saying in the press release that “giving someone a mobile phone with a contract is a lot like giving them a pet rat – you have to keep feeding it and cleaning out its cage for the rest of its life. It comes with a big obligation.” Talk about being quotable!

These bundles are, according to Mobilicity, limited edition and available at Mobilicity stores, as well as 7-Eleven, Zellers and select hmv stores in Toronto, Vancouver, Edmonton and Ottawa.
